Anybody want to see my wound on my leg from where they removed my cancer and where I had a skin graft?

Very informative pictures. Thanks for sharing. Did the freckles itch? Hope you’re feeling better x

Thank you @Threepeaks2025 . Yes they did itch and bled sometimes too. It is true what they say and why they call it the ugly duckling because it definitely looked different to others .
Im feeling a lot better thank you , my cortisol levels have dropped dangerously low but other than that all is good .

Sending lots of love @Mustardfan . How are you feeling ?

I feel a bit like you and the others, shocked at how it looks, shocked at my leg having a crater in it. And worried about how long it will take to heal and whether the graft will take as there was a blood blister in the middle of it at the first dressing change. Thanks for asking.

Your low cortisol levels - is it Addison’s?

It’s a big shock isn’t it lovely. I wasn’t able to be put to sleep during the operation either as I had 5 broken ribs at the time . Was quite horrific .
Mine had a few problems healing but they said it looks as well as it can. I hope your healing journey goes well xx

No it’s not Addisons it’s just because I’ve been poorly and stressed my body has basically had enough and used all my cortisol so I have to take steroids when I’m poorly or stressed xx

That sounds tough. I’ve got a relative with Addisons. I can see how tough it is when her cortisol levels are low. I didn’t know that our cortisol levels can fluctuate in the way that yours do.

I never knew either until my bloods kept coming back with low cortisol. I’d never even heard of it before and didn’t know it was linked to stress and illness. Which is kind of a shame as I’m feeling both at the moment
