It looks like tree sap is coming out of my finger.

I’ve notice one of my finger nails has grown through with dents.
Just now I was washing my hands after painting and picked away what could have been a bit of paint on the nail and then noticed golden liquid oozed from the base of the nail. I wiped it away and it was kind of sticky. I pressed the skin under it and more came out.
I’ve taken a picture which I think will take a while to load. I then got DH to video m pressing again. After the video I pressed again and a bit of blood came out. It’s a bit weepy now and I think I’ll put some Savlon on and then and put a plaster over it. It’s looking a bit pink but I think it’s from the prodding.
Any ideas?

I'd leave it alone, no savlon. Just soak in salted water.
You can see where your cuticle is damaged. The yellow is pus, it was an infection starting from a test or something getting underneath it.

I think it’s a cyst related to osteoarthritis. Oh the joys of growing older.
