Veruca - still there or finally gone?

It’s in an awkward place. Can’t really see it in real life. I have to bend my leg backwards and take a pic. Been putting on salicylic acid, then picking/filing it off and reapplying.

When I was in the bath a week or so ago, a satisfying chunk came off with black dots in the middle. I’ve been continuing with the SA, but not sure if it’s actually gone now.

Does this look like the aftermath of a veruca, or is there still something there?

Kicking myself for not attacking it when the chunk came off. Now it seems like healthy skin as grown round about it and when I soak it / apply the SA nothing happens.

I was plagued with huge clusters of them as a teenager and they took years to shift. Can’t believe I have another one all these years later!

In theory they go away on their own, in their own sweet time!

Loads of people on Reddit having luck with zinc oxide for verrucas, i.e. Sudocrem! Worth a shot.

In my experience, it takes months for the last trace of a wart/verruca to finally disappear even when you have in fact killed it. If it doesn't get bigger or crustier than it currently is over the next month, it's probably gone.
