What's this on DD's foot?

And is it worth bothering a dr with?

I can't tell if it's a corn or a verruca. She seems to be getting another in a similar place on the other foot.
Full disclosure- she's a tiptoe walker, which makes me think corn. But now and again it goes black, verruca style, and she has weekly swimming lessons.

I don't think she'd tolerate any sort of freezing procedure, never mind a scraping thing. She barely lets me touch it. Medicated plasters maybe? (Hopefully the pic loads quickly, it's a white lump about half the size of a drawing pin head on the ball of her foot).

I think it looks like a veruca.

DS & I both have one at the moment.

Try this.

Scholl seal and heal gel. Dab it on, leave it to dry and it will draw the roots to the surface, then disappear! The hard skin that it forms falls off easily after a good soak in the bath.

Thanks @CrazyCatMam it's got to be worth a try- I think I'd get away with applying that too. It's in a really annoying place that I think will "rub" making plasters etc difficult to keep on!

We used the plasters on Dd. Superdrug ones are great.

I’ve been lazy with mine - haven’t bothered filing it down, or applying it every day. Just been applying it when I remember & then after a bath a thick layer comes off. No pain at all.

Tried plasters - couldn’t get them to stick though. Haven’t tried Superdrug ones though!

Thanks both. I do have some of the plasters @mogtheexcellent but with it being in that place on her foot I'm not sure how long they'll stay in place for. Might be worth a try since I've got them anyway though.

Struggling to find the seal & heal gel in stock & no superdrug nearby- online job I think!
