End of last year/beginning of this one I had the saga of the ingrown toenail which lead to many week in sliders (I know the horror), anyway said toenail ended up being removed and was a gooey mess whilst it healed. It finally, after many weeks did heal and whilst looking odd is ok from a distance and I was contemplating a fake nail for sandal season.
Saturday it looked a bit red and by last night it was more red and painful. I thought have they left a piece in there? This morning lo and behold a yellow dot has appeared!
Well being the sporner that I am, I quickly set up as time was of the essence (damn you work and a classroom full of children), ring light, sterile needle and alcohol wipes, after cleaning the area I got to work, the needle is tiny (for B12) so wasn’t being effective until I changed tactic and went deeper into the yellow dot straight on, yellow dot burst, little bit of pus came out, I wasn’t happy gave it a squeeze, and the most lovely thick pus oozed out. Made my morning, had to take a photo and call DH.
It instantly felt better and it didn’t hurt anymore so the moral of the story is stick needles in yellow dots!
