Is this popcorn or not? (Grim picture)

Saw Nosferatu at the cinema Sunday evening.

Accidentally (obviously) inhaled a small piece of popcorn from that last little grab of soft floaty bits at the bottom of the box up my nose.

Blew my nose a few times but wasn't sure if it came out. (It was dark)

Started getting cold/flu symptoms from Monday including sinus pain. It's been feeling like something has been preventing me from blowing my nose properly.

So I used a neti pot this afternoon and this came out. There was a brief sense of relief but I'm still headachey, congested, sore throat.

So.....is it the popcorn? Or is this normal sinus stuff? Do I have flu? Or are my symptoms popcorn related? Is it something to get checked out?

Film was great.

It may just be really irritated and inflamed- possibly from popcorn, possibly unrelated. I’d take ibuprofen to reduce the inflammation and keep up the netipot!

That would make me vomit. Sounds like torture!!

Hmm, that doesn't look much like popcorn at all does it. I suspect you've got a regular cold/flu rather than it being popcorn based in origin anyway. When I was a kid I was xrayed before surgery and the surgeon found a string of beads up my nose, right at the back and it was massive. Turns out my siblings had been putting things up my nose as I slept. No symptoms though! Hope you feel better soon.
