Awful cramping and period pain. Started bleeding

Something went 'pop' and this came out. Bleeding stopped immediately! And now just light spotting

I never get painful periods.

From Google, it appears it's one of those 'casts' from the uterus Envy

The awful thing had veins!

That is a bit scary OP. Hope you feel better

friendsofatune · 03/10/2024 19:47

Thank you - All fine! I was very shocked though

I remembered these threads on this topic and thought some strange folk like me would be intrigued Grin

What do you mean it has veins? Actual veins? If so then it isn’t a decidual cast

Blusterydaytodaypoohbear · 03/10/2024 19:50

Decidual cast.. Just uterine lining...

It really freaked me out. Never, ever had one before as far as I know

TMI but could feel it 'stuck' in the cervix before it came out 😳

OMG OP!!! Confused

Its like something out of Alien!

Do you feel ok?

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 22/10/2024 08:31

If it had veins then it wasn't a cast as another PP said. Veins grow to supply blood to something that needs blood.

Please if you haven't already ask to be referred to gyne for an urgent scan to make sure that whatever it is has fully come away.

There's a real risk of sepsis if it hasn't especially as its been a few weeks since you posted.

Wallawallakoala · 04/11/2024 01:50

I’m not sure if it’s veins or just the way the blood/matter is showing on it? Still looks terrible hope you are ok!!

Sounds like a miscarriage to me, the way you describe the cramps and pains, and the release. Looks a bit like one too. Is there any possibility at all you may have been very early pregnant?
