DHound had been worrying at a spot on his flank for a few days.
I noticed it was getting a little swollen & the fur was slightly raised in the area.
I was convinced that it was a tick so I got the little green tool ready with the antiseptic.
The darling boy submitted meekly to his procedure with the help of a handful of Schmakos and laid down on his sofa with his leg aloft, waiting for a tummy rub.
I slid the tool over the slim, pink protruding part of the lesion and started to twist. It looked like a Barbie finger tbh. After only a 90° turn the thing slid out with a slight SQUEAK!
No reaction from the patient and no blood.
It’s not a tick is it? I think it’s probably a mutant hair follicle. Any other suggestions?
