I've had it for months

Inside is thick, clear, gluey fluid, it never fully drains

If I burst it, it heals then re forms

When it's like this it stings like a MF

Could it be an ongoing infection from getting your nails done?

princesspadam · 14/07/2024 21:35

I don't think so because the swelling g & recovery is not dependent on when I have them done

Deep (tiny) splinter?

That sounds spot on as I have osteoarthritis in my fingers too

Ooooo it definitely looks like this!

I have one of these, like Useyourfork says it looks like a mucous cyst and there is a risk of infection when it ruptures so they shouldn’t be burst. What’s coming out is the fluid from your finger joint, and you risk infection getting into the joint. If you leave them alone they often don’t cause issues, I’ve had mine for years, but if it bothers you it’s a simple procedure to get it cut out.
