Unfortunately I can't share photos due to its location.. it was literally as high up my inner thigh as it could get without being directly in the crease.. and encroaching on intimate places..
But yes.. over last week i had what i thought was a normal bit of acne pop up down there.. i get them occasionally, the rarely head up, just be lumpy and annoying for a few days, then just go away.
Only this one didnt, it kept getting bigger, until on thursday it was hurting to sit on. Still no head.
Friday morning i visited the dr, and boy, by this point did it HURT, i yelped when she poked it.. she declared it an abscess and sent me home with antibiotics.
By Friday evening i couldn't find a comfy way to sit, it was huge, painfully swollen and hurt like all hell, so i went to bed early.
While getting changed i had a good look at it (with help of phone torch, and my mirror) and it had a massive head on it.. so, me being me (yes i did sanitise my hands first) i prodded it, and it promptly popped in a cascade of liquid crap,
The PAIN.. and the relief, omg. this thing drained so quickly. Didn't smell thankfully, but there was a LOT.
I'm first aid trained so i dealt with it properly, i did call 101 just to check with a dr if there was anything else i could do, and with my bestie who is a paramedic, and both advised to get as much out as i could, then apply a bandage overnight, and to get some proper dressings in the morning, rather than what i could raid from my first aid kit.
Been using inadine dressings on it since, which have worked wonderfully, it finally quit draining last night.
