Tmi Shaved well with a grade 1 , 3 days ago .
Yesterday I felt tender like a spot. Today there's 3 lumps all together like ingrown hairs . I've tried magnesium sulphate. Sterilised needle although i can't see fully where I need to poke . It's purple as so swollen. It's rubbing on underwear. It kills.

I do have some flucoxacillin from an infection on my face and didn't finish the course wondering if to take them too

Get yourself to your GP, I had an abscess down there that was so painful it made me cry.

Ended up on 4 antibiotic tablets a day for a week to blast it away

Thank you. Will call them tomorrow.

I had an abcess years ago in the groin I remember the pain . I was on holiday too and had to pay to see a gp and get antibiotics. 3 days later it burst. The pain but OMG the relief was insane.

I have a skin condition called Hidradentitis supparativa in my groin it causes a very very painful abscess and I have to take an antibiotic every day for atleast 3 months. Your lump does look a lot like what mine does at the start of a flare up. I was only diagnosed 6 months ago. It's bloody awful! Mine got bigger and bigger till it burst on its own but sometimes they drain it. Ask your doctor about it

Op you've probably seen a GP since but it looks like ingrown hairs due to shaving, I had that before the alopecia kicked in (yay). You feeling better?

RacketsAndRounders · 20/05/2024 22:03

I'm sure the gp has told you by now but it's s so important to finish a course of antibiotics even if you feel well.
