Infected belly piercing when pregnant

I'm 27 weeks pregnant and I'm pretty certain my belly piercing is now infected. It's itchy, red and there has been some yellow pus. Question is with being pregnant should I see a gp for this with it being an infection or just treat with general salt water as you would do normally?

Thanks in advance! Attached photo of my horrendous almost outie belly button!

I’d see a GP as your body can be a bit gung ho when pregnant.

Not sure about the oozing but I'm sure mine went like that with being stretched, it was red and horribly itchy

Pregnancy means immune system is suppressed. I'd visit GP since you're pregnant, but salt it anyway. When was it pierced?

Mr DDs piercing became infected a couple of weeks ago and the GP gave her antibiotics to clear it up. I'd get seen asap to get the right treatment. Don't rely on salt water.

@wjpa I've had it done around 15 years so a long time ago!

Mine got infected when I was pregnant- I just took out my piercing and regularly cleaned it.
A few months after I had my baby, I was in the bath and it just exploded.

Diluted tea tree oil is a suggestion.

Just checking to see what happened with this as I have the Same issue PP and really don’t fancy taking antibiotics (flares up thrush in my body 😔)
