What is this on my toe

Have also posted in general health, but curious if any sporners can help with this - what is this smooth, round lump developing on my left big toe? Pic of non lumpy right toe included for comparison.

It looks like some kind of callous. Is it painful?

It looks like you have similar on your right toe too to be honest.

Yes, I was hard pushed to work out which was meant to be the non-lumpy one ...

Just look like hard skin callouses, probably ill-fitting shoes/lots of barefoot walking? Trip or two to the chiropodist will probably have them sorted, and an idea of cause to prevent them coming back.

Sorry, I should have mentioned (I did on my other post about this) - it's not the yellow calloused skin on the side of my toe. It's a smooth, round, lump on the top of my toe, between my nail and the joint. I definitely don't have it on my right toe. I've tried to make it clearer in this pic. Curious to hear your thoughts!

Is it squashy? If so it looks like a ganglion cyst.
