Is this what happens to warts?

I had what I thought was a wart on my thumb, so bought some Wart Off stuff to paint on. Only did it for two days, covered with a non breathable plaster each time, and then this morning I caught my finger nail on a lump there.

Obviously had to investigate, gave it a squeeze and some pinkish fluid came out. I saw something white trying to make its way out, so gave it a much bigger squeeze, and something white started protruding from the middle. Grabbed tweezers, and pulled it out. Looks like the centre of the wart with a root? The root is the little bit, which detached from the main bit when I tried to put it on a clean surface for essential sporner photo taking.

The other pic is of the crater left behind. Of course I'm gutted i didn't get a "before" picture.

It has been a VERY exciting morning.

(I'm in Australia, hence time difference).

And this is after a shower.

I have no idea if that's what warts do, but thank you for the pic and description.

I would LOVE to have something to pull out with tweezers!

Yes when I had a couple of warts on my hand this is what happened to one of them, I loved pulling it out and having a nice hole to admire.

Then bizarrely a few days later the others just disappeared

Yeah they do that, the disturbance of the one kick starts your body’s immune reason which the clears the others

I can still remember the root/core coming out of my verruca which had been on the end of my toe for so long that it had started to distort the nail. The glorious day that bastard died was a day I will never forget.

Throw the tweezers out! Usually I will just say give it a good clean but not with warts.
