I fear becoming a walking wart.

In what can only be described as a moment of fury and vengeance, I’ve gone and filed down my verruca with an emery board.

Problem is this sent little warty-skin-flakes flying off my foot, and now I’m terrified that I’ve breathed them or had them land on my face. What are the chances that I’m going to end up with a facial wart from this little escapade?

Help me O wise women of mumsnet. Am I doomed? The only thing I can say in my defence is that I used gloves 🙈

5 years ago after finishing chemo, a wart suddenly appeared on my thumb, right at the side of my nail. I cut it off but of course it came back . Over the course of the nest few weeks, warts appeared overnight on every finger all around my nails. I tried absolutely everything to get rid of them but nothing worked.

After about 9 months my gp referred me to the hospital but there was a long wait, in the meantime I was diagnosed with another cancer and within a week every single wart had gone.
