Glass in my thumb pad

I made the mistake of picking something up off the table and rubbing it between thumb and finger. It was a little nugget of glass. I think a tiny piece is still in my thumb pad as if I press in a certain direction I get a sharp pain. It must be really tiny and I can't see anything. How can I get it out? I've squeezed to let the blood flow try and flush it out but no joy.

Magnesium sulphate paste from the pharmacist. Amazing stuff. Whack some on under a plaster and probably by tonight it will have worked it's way out enough for you to get a grip on it with tweezers.

I had this once, no one believed me when I said there was glass in it. Over a year later, the teeny piece of glass popped put through the skin. Not particularly helpful, sorry ;)

It went into a hard lump and I just took the hard skin off and the shard was in there.

Relief!

I had the same but it didn't come out for eleven years! It became periodically itchy over the years then one day I scratched it, felt the edge of the glass and could squeeze it out.
