TW:Wart that looks like a maggot protruding put of finger

This is my daughters finger. I've tried over the counter treatments. They seem to have left the "core" exposed and killed the ketosis around it. Problem is now if she knocks it, it bleeds. Have contacted GP but won't be able to visit for a few days and getting an appointment is hard.

It's been really hard to get a clear image

Any advice?

Wonder if a podiatrist would see? Don't know whether their insurance would be a problem but you never know, don't ask don't get.

Thanks I doubt it. I'm not sure what going to a private podiatrist would achieve over a visit to a GP though. It is in her hand and she's OK with it. I've had it covered but she's knocked it twice and it's bled and the second time it seemed to hurt. I want it sorting before school otherwise we will get constant phone calls or notifications that she's knocked it etc and asked what we have done. If it was me I'd take the scissors or tweezers to it or some other unorthodox approach but can't so that to my child

If it mrrps bleeding, I would keep a (regularly changed) dressing on it to protect it and anything she touches.
