I have been fine all day and just had a shower and felt really bad pain randomly, obviously had to get the mirror out. I’ve got a lump on my bum cheek but on the inside of the crack if you know what I mean, it’s quite big, bigger than a 50p, I gave it a squeeze and some green puss came out, but that’s all I can reach.

i so wish I could give it a proper squeeze!! I haven’t got any mag sulphate either stupidly.
does the green mean infection?

My son had one, within a week it got bigger, more painful, rushed into surgery, left with a hole bigger than the the size of a fifty pence piece that needing packing daily with a community nurse calling every day to do it.

Is the redness around it quite large ?

Keep going with hot baths and compresses, put some Savlon on it or sudocreme and keep it covered over night.

Hello! It’s ok, just seems abit like a deflated balloon 😂 I’m sure it’s going to fill up again to be honest. Yes the pain isn’t bothering me to much feel fine, I have put some savlon on just incase. I hope it fills up with actual puss, my need to pop puss filled things overrides my feelings of pain 😂😂

I have an appointment with the nurse on Monday anyway just a routine thing so I may get her to have a look just to be sure, she can prescribe so I’m sure if I need anything she will be on it

Had something like this before but it was bloody painful all the time! Couldn't sit down properly. About 3 nights in a row, I made a paste with turmeric and a dribble of water, smeared that on, then applied a fully sealed dressing. Turmeric took out all the infection and redness. I'm normally a squeezer but this was too sore to contemplate!

This is bringing back some painful memories of the pilonidal abscess I had 20 odd years ago. I felt like my arse crack was sealing up from the top down, couldn't walk and ended up being off work for two months and having my "second arsehole stuffed" as my mates said - or packed by a district nurse to any other adult - on a daily basis.

Fortunately for you, OP, I don't think this is like that. It's unfortunate for the other perverts that frequent these boards though. I hope it clears up/gets better soon.

Hello sporners, my cyst is back and it’s so much worse. Shoved a needle in it again, what came out was almost like tiny little blood clots but I can feel the actual cyst/mass is so much further back into the tissue of my skin it must be huge. Struggling to sit, and have worryingly got pain at the top of my bum now. Don’t feel as though I’ve got an infection but quite worried. Sent husband for mag paste.

Have you bathed it with salt water?

@ForeverandAlways4 yes saw the nurse. I hadn’t realised about the mass behind and she just looked at it and as I’d popped it it’s not much to look at, it refills as I’ve now realised. She said it was fine and didn’t need antibiotics which I agreed with then. I’ve had problems with pain that side of my vagina and had a bartholian (probably spelt wrong) cyst I was sent to gyne under the 2 week wait for that at first as the nurse wasn’t sure if it was something dodgy just wondering with it all being the same side if it could be connected.

How are you, @Geordielass1987? Sounds like it's a bit more of a concern than just a boil. Hope you managed to get some treatment.

@RedPandaFluff love your username! Thank you for checking in, I’m fine. It’s abit sore but nothing awful and still feel fine in myself! I will probably wait for it to refill and then get it seen again as it really doesn’t look like anything at the minute

Ahh that's good, I'm glad to read that things didn't escalate quickly, sounds like when an infection takes hold, it can be pretty bad.

Hope you get rid of it properly soon

It needs to be cut out - you need to see a gp not just a nurse. It will keep coming back worse, and you risk it tunnelling and creating more boils.
