I occasionally get largish red lumps/headless spots around my neck/hairline just before my period. They tend to disappear again in a few days without any fuss or novelty. I occasionally get a bartholan's type cyst which again disappears without much fuss in a day or two. Before Christmas, I had three large neck mounds which took nearly two months to clear but never amounted to anything. Last week I had a stye appear out of nowhere with a huge head right on the edge of my upper eyelid. Without any ceremony or poking, it popped itself overnight but there was no gunk or any fun goo sticking my eye together as I would have expected given the size of the head. Last night I noticed a nice big bartholin cyst brewing. It was itchy yesterday, today sitting is getting uncomfortable. It will likely go the way of the other missed opportunities and die back in a day or two but I'm starting to feel like there's something festering inside me, seeking a way out...

Hi Op, I get spots acne, pimples, whiteheads and gorms of all types at a set time in my cycle and it is a NIGHTMARE because they become huge, red, inflamed and weepy and no amount of makeup will disguise it, they just bleed through. As for the Bartholins cysts ... you have never felt joy until you've popped one of those evil bastards whilst in the bath Grin yes it hurts but not too bad tbh, the relief is incredible, the soreness just dissipates immediately.

@Pucarbuile what happened with it? Did you take a pic?

Pucarbuile · 28/02/2022 14:30

Eh, no, I won't be posting a pic of my fanny, even in the interests of sporn 🤣 cyst is still there unfortunately and in spite of hot compresses and scalding epsom salt baths, it doesn't want to go anywhere.
