Sporn? I’m not sure

I’ve recently had a long stay in hospital, which has left me with a rather large still partially open wound on my abdomen (it’s healing slowly)

More pressing though is the sore on my head from where I was laid on my ponytail for so long. If I keep picking (have been good for a couple of days) I’ll end up with a bald patch won’t I?

But the gunk I get out of it is fabulous (pic of current state of affairs)

It’s a pressure ulcer - leave it well alone and speak to your GP about how best to manage it

Ah crap.

I’m back at the hospital tomorrow for a check up. I’ll ask them to have a look at it while I’m there.

Sorry, I know that’s not what you want to hear

But you REALLY don’t want that to get worse - grade 3/4 pressure ulcers are not nice 🤮

I usually advocate squeezing most things but in this case I think it needs a check by a medical professional, sorry.

Oh no,no,no, absolutely NO messing around with that. Definitely see a health bod about it asap and hope you feel better soon

All is good. It’s not infected and it’s going nicely crusty (nurse’s words).

I’ve got to try and keep it dry and not scratch!
