Wow! No idea but try a hot flannel. Take paracetamol to help with the pain, I know you wouldn’t automatically think to take a painkiller for this but it will help with the pain. Maybe phone the GP in the morning and ask if you can send a photo to look at.

“How do you treat a bump on the inside of your eyelid?
Treatment
Apply a warm, wet cloth to the area for 10 minutes. Do this 4 times a day.
Do NOT attempt to squeeze a stye or any other type of eyelid bump. Let it drain on its own.
Do NOT use contact lenses or wear eye makeup until the area has healed.”

It's a sty isn't it?

MamaWeasel · 21/12/2021 20:47

Stye?

Meibomian cyst?

TheYearOfSmallThings · 21/12/2021 20:49

I don't know but if you have an ophthalmologist they would be able to examine you, diagnose and prescribe antibiotics if needed. Probably easier than getting to see a GP

SarahWoodWould · 21/12/2021 20:52

I think it’s a cyst. I had one recently. You need hot compresses and possibly antibiotic ointment.

I emailed a pic to my GP and they sent me a prescription for the ointment. Even though it was OTC the pharmacist wouldn’t give it to me otherwise.

It was gone in 3-4 days.

I get these. If it's the same then it's a chalazion cyst. You need anti bacterial cream and gentle massage twice a day to move the blockage up so it clears. Can you try to see your optician tomorrow? I emailed mine a picture (during lockdown) and he emailed me a prescription and helpful info right back.

Ds had styes like that & had to have a course of antibiotics, we got told if they got worse to come straight back or go to A & E as it could turn to cellulitis.

TrashyPanda · 23/12/2021 12:23

It’s commonly known as a style.
Charlizon and Melborian cyst are just other names for it.

Recommended treatment is hot compress.

Antibiotics only needed if very bad.
