This is painful and started a week ago with one spot. Spreading like wildfire in the armpit. There is a marble size lump under one that is painful to touch.
Help!!

Try germolene too as it has an anesthetic.

I was given antibiotic cream, she said follicuitis based on the photo. It's much worse now and so painful

Can you send that pic to the doctors and get another appointment?

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 19/03/2021 15:30

I took that advice Thankyou. Oral antibiotics now and see how that goes, I'm walking like I've got a teapot handle for an arm Grin

I hope this has cleared up for you. I was tortured with this in my teens and early twenties. I had one that was almost the size of a golf ball and had to have it lanced. I still do t know why I had this for years then literally stopped but I find that I'm still wary of what deodernt I use so as not to annoy the skin which I then relate to them starting (I don't know for sure if deodernt had anything to do with it but I'm quite sensitive and some deodernt used to cause a rash which got worse then these horrible lumps began). I find Vaseline antiperspirant and there's a Dove stick (almost like cream, not typical roll-on) I use is very gentle.

@Tomcullenisahero You could try PitRok Crystal deodorant. It is really good. You can get it in Boots.

@iamtheoneandonlyyy How are you now? Did the anti's work?

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 31/03/2021 22:52

Thankyou for replying. It's 99% better thank goodness, it took days for the tablets to start working. Still sore though!
Very hopeful it doesn't happen again

I'm so glad to hear it's much better. They really are awful and you can feel quite ill with them. I still don't know what caused mine even though I had umpteen blood tests etc.
I was careful not to annoy the skin too much as mine seemed to form then.
Thanks @Whatamesssss for the recommendation I'll maybe try that although thankfully I don't get theses any more
