My verruca won’t go away!

Hello fellow mumsnetters, I have had a verruca for at least 10 years on my foot and I simply can’t get rid of it! I have tried countless methods, such as bazooka, filing and even scissors! But the root will not budge. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Have you been to a chiropodist?

MoanyMaria · 07/03/2021 22:31

I can’t post a picture for some reason but it is very bad. I’m not sure what will work, I forgot to mention I have tried freezing too.

Duct tape it now its black it should peel away

MoanyMaria · 07/03/2021 22:37

@Theunamedcat I might try that! I paid £56 to freeze it twice but it didn’t feel like freezing, it felt like burning. Hopefully I can get rid of it soon.

That should help!

Soak some cotton wool in Apple Cider Vinegar. Attached it to verruca and redo it every day. Mine was on my toe for 2 years until I tried this. Gone within 3 weeks

The worst ones need several sessions of freezing. Yes it hurts but it kills the nasty things. Put something sticky over it in between, like duct tape or a plaster.

you need to see a podiatrist, who can put specialist salicylic acid/similar on and scrape the shit out of it (literally)!.

Red nail varnish. Specifically the one in the m and s beauty advent calendar 2 or 3 Christmases ago got rid of a stubborn verification very quickly, duct tape, bazooka, filing etc had all failed. It was pretty amazing how quick it went.

Leighton Denny High Performance Nail Colour, it was a berry reddish colour.

With my sons veruccas and there were many on both feet, l rubbed in alcohol gel and then put a square of duct tape over the top and did this every night until they went away. We tried the usual over the counter treatments but they didn't do anything. I'm not sure why the gel an tape worked but it did.
