When I see such things I'm shocked that anyone could leave it so long. Why not treat it while it's still small? Is this the consequence of the American healthcare system? That people cannot afford to get such things treated early?

I watched the video without sound, so would have missed any explanation of why he waited until the cyst was so enormous before getting treatment.

Dilbertian I have the same questions! One of the things defenders of teh US system say is that once you're in the system with insurance etc. the healthcare is the best -- but I never see people with these problems who are told my doctors that nah, that's nothing. And I have plenty of criticism for our system at other times! (am in Sweden)
