Apologies for the huge amount of croppage, it's right next to my bikini line. Has grown bigger last couple of days and I thought I could see a head but I gave it a little squeeze and the pain made me feel nauseous so had to stop!
It feels hard underneath...?

Due to the location I'd usually say ingrown hair, but shouldn't be hard underneath.

I'd probably root around with some tweezers but you should no't do that.

There's a head on it I think?

Hot compress and then a drawing paste (mag sulphate, or a home made bicarb or toothpaste one) should work on both.
