It's not very painful... yet.

Mag sulphate?

I'M NOT TAKING PICTURES.Grin

I don't care what The Rulez are. Not for all the tea in China.

Tease

TressiliansStone · 08/08/2020 15:07

Ha!

Your username may be a list of what you're willing to share, Grin but my arse is not going on t'internet.

(Could still do with advice on it. I know, I'm just selfish.)

Oh I remember my pilonidal abscess (and resulting surgery) with dread.

Nothing touched it. I swear it was worse pain than childbirth

Handsnotwands · 13/08/2020 21:37

DHs pilondial cyst was the only time I’ve seen him cry in 25 years except when the dog died

StealthNinjaMum · 13/08/2020 21:39

Best. Thread. Title. Ever...

But please, pretty please include some piccies?

TressiliansStone · 13/08/2020 21:43

This is not the sort of advice I was hoping for.Shock

Oh my heart breaks for you - I bet the sporn is epic but I’ve read about these and they sound SO painful.

SauvignonBlanche · 13/08/2020 21:49

Ouch - don’t wait too long before getting a professional opinion.

vegansprinkle · 13/08/2020 21:49

We need photos. We cannot work with you, if you do not provide photos

TressiliansStone · 13/08/2020 21:49

Elledouble please keep your fingers crossed for me: it's not very dramatic... yet.

I'd really like it to stay that way. Then sink back into nothingness.

OP posts:
TressiliansStone · 13/08/2020 21:50

It's just a smooth bump at the moment.

I'm currently looking for a stunt arse to give you the gist...

That's not my cyst. Its head is too large.

MotherofPickles · 13/08/2020 22:01

Get yourself to a GP, if you can. I tried mag. sulphate, other creams from the GP (can't remember what, it was 20 years ago) and I still ended up on the operating table. I'd blast that thing quick!

TressiliansStone · 13/08/2020 22:01

No seriously, it's not infected-looking yet.

Just a bit itchy when I think about it and, well, there.

It shouldn't be there.

Wahhh!

OP posts:
Panpig · 13/08/2020 22:02

My DH had to have 2 operations to get rid of his. He said it was agony when if kept flaring up!

TressiliansStone · 13/08/2020 22:03

(Just to be crystal, above pic is stunt arse not my actual buttock bump.)

OP posts:
ManxRhyme · 13/08/2020 22:05

Hot water bottle. Speeds things up.

Bellecurves · 13/08/2020 22:08

I was given super antibiotics for mine recently and it cleared it right up. I was v sceptical and was expecting to have to go the full operation, but after a week of tablets I was grand. That was June...fingers crossed it doesn't come back. Massive handhold as wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

TressiliansStone · 13/08/2020 22:31

So. I am now sitting on a wheat bag.

Mag sulphate is ordered.

Fingers are crossed.

Will go to GP at first sign of escalation.

What I should I expect if it doesn't get infected? Will it just "grow out" somehow? Or will it lurk quietly until a Bank Holiday Weekend when the GP is closed and kick off like topless, sunburnt drunk?

OP posts:
EBearhug · 13/08/2020 22:34

My money's on a bank Holiday weekend. Probably the Friday night.

TressiliansStone · 13/08/2020 22:43

It's the Law, isn't it, EBearhug.

grey12 · 13/08/2020 22:43

My experience was different. My infection was I suppose much smaller than the picture and just painful and bled a bit. I freaked out and went to doctor. Anyways.... doctor said that he would only do surgery if it was a reoccurring issue. Thankfully it wasn't :)

Do speak to GP/doctor!

Myshitisreal · 13/08/2020 22:46

Another surgery veteran here as a 17 year old girl, so many many moons ago. I ignored it far too long. I'm sure it will be fine, you're being vigilant

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 13/08/2020 22:46

OMG why did I just google images? What, and I cannot stress this enough, the actual fuck! You have my immense sympathies, all the sympathies OP.
