Small hard black spot on finger?

Any one know what this is or what to do about it? Pic attached but it is very hard to see! It's a tiny, fairly solid lump on the pad of my middle finger, it appears black/grey inside. It doesn't really hurt but is uncomfortable. Been there a week now - hasn't grown or changed.

Splinter? I'd have a go at it with a sterile needle.

DD had something very similar after falling over, it was a tiny stone.

Aka foreign body which has had the skin grow over it. Sterile needle and poke it out. Could be wood, metal or stone.

I had one of those, it was a little tender for a while. I left it and disappeared on its own. Sorry

So I've tried digging it out with a needle - and squeezing as hard as I can but it just seems too deep?

This morning I have had it in a cup of hot water which did seem to bring it to the top a bit. I had another go with a needle but still absolutely nothing. I've stuck a plaster on top in the hope of drawing something out...

Think you need another helpful pair of hands (🙋🏻‍♀️if you're in SE London) as don't think you'll get the pressure right with just one hand... happy extracting!
