End of last week killed my feet wearing boots that I don't wear when expecting to be walking far. I walked far. Feet killing, no blisters. No problem really initially.

Skin on outside of little toe starts looking dry and weird dry circle and getting more painful.

Last night I noticed my toe is swollen, red and it's really throbbing painful.

Today I have this????

WTF is this and should I play with it?

I wouldnt touch it. From Internet :

When to see your GP
See your GP if you have blisters that:

you think are infected
are very painful
keep coming back

An infected blister will be filled with yellow or green pus and may be painful, red and hot.

It's important not to ignore an infected blister because it could lead to secondary impetigo (a contagious bacterial infection of the skin) and further complications, such as cellulitis or sepsis.

Phone 111 for advice.

PotteringAlong · 29/09/2019 16:35

You probably shouldn’t bodge it with a pin, squeeze it and marvel but, in all honesty, I would.

But there was never a blister there? That's what I don't understand.

It just looks like a blister to me. Put some cream on it and cover it up, it'll be gone by tomorrow.

Singlenotsingle · 29/09/2019 18:58

Maybe there wasn't, but there is now, and it looks infected.

Guiltypleasures001 · 29/09/2019 19:01

Naw that's a verucca sp

It's got a circle the middle just coming through

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 29/09/2019 19:03

I'd soak that in a bowl of warm salty water and pop it with a sterilised needle.

Might be a verruca as a pp said.

fatulousatforty · 29/09/2019 19:06

Looks like a corn/callus to me

CosmicVagina · 29/09/2019 19:08

Please keep us updated

MmmBlowholes · 29/09/2019 19:19

I'd stick a pin in it tbh

OdddSocks · 29/09/2019 19:53

Last night I noticed my toe is swollen, red and it's really throbbing painful .

Four classic signs of inflammation are - redness, pain, heat, and swelling.
You've mention three of those in your Op, so Yep, I'd see a doc - soon as possible.

OdddSocks · 29/09/2019 19:55

'inflammation' - should have said - 'infection'

SandunesAndRainclouds · 29/09/2019 19:55

You shouldn’t, but I’d stick a pin in it and see what squeezes out. Maybe a bit of sudocrem if I could be bothered!!

theemmadilemma · 29/09/2019 20:16

I put sudo cream on last night. Maybe that drew it out?

I do need to try to see the Doc tomorrow anyway but I'd like some relief...

You could see a podiatrist for advice.

theemmadilemma · 29/09/2019 20:19

I put sudo cream on last night lots and kept a sock on. Maybe that drew it out?

I do need to try to see the Doc tomorrow anyway but I'd like some relief...

Can't imagine it being a verruca, I've had them before but I've not been around anyone or where to catch one. And it's just totally different.

Hmm I have pins... and salt... and water...

I’m a nurse and I would totally Lance that with a sterilised needle to drain it and the clean it and cover it. I cannot help myself poking at things. If you do please video it 😂

Jesse70 · 29/09/2019 20:25

Wow! I would squeeze that lol sorry it looks bloody awful and very sore
Put a plaster on it tonight and see if anything seeps out overnight
And then let us all know lol

NigellaAwesome · 29/09/2019 20:49

I would totally Lance it.

TripleTKA · 29/09/2019 20:59

I would be very careful if you plan on lancing it unless you have some proper dressings to keep it clean.
I burst a blister of similar size on my foot and ended up with an infection and having to have it all cut away and the hole packed every day for 2 weeks!
If you think it’s infected I would see a nurse tomorrow

theemmadilemma · 29/09/2019 21:38

Too late for video sorry. To be fair it wasn't spectacular. I salt soaked and used a sterile needle. It didn't pop nicely. Sad

A few holes and squeezing later it mainly drained, still ozzing a bit. I'll put more sudo and a plaster on in a bit.

Running clear now! And much relief though it's still obviously sore.
