Just come back from a run and noticed these raised lumps on the sole of my right foot. What on earth are they? Verrucas maybe? Sorry for the disgusting pic.

I get those I don't think they are veruccas as they just fall off eventually. I think they are some kind of pressure chafing / blister

Muchtoomuchtodo · 17/06/2019 18:48

That looks like pompholux eczema to me. Is it itchy?

dotty12345 · 17/06/2019 18:50

I used to get this, can’t remember what it was called and used to peel off after a bit. From my recollection it’s a weird virus thing and only affects one foot? Not had it for a few years now though.

JustTheCrowsAndTheBeef · 18/06/2019 20:48

Seed corns?

NutBiscuit · 18/06/2019 20:50

Yes to pompholyx eczema. I get it all over my hands and feet.

escapade1234 · 18/06/2019 20:54

Definitely pompholyx - I get it too. It comes and goes. I typically get a bout every couple of months. There’s a clear cycle that you will come to recognise. The little blisters form, they can be uncomfortable to walk on for a few days (but sometimes not) then they harden and after a few more days they will either flake off or can be gently coaxed off. Then the new skin grows nicely in their place.

There’s no treatment. You learn to live with it.

escapade1234 · 18/06/2019 20:55

I only get it on one foot too

escapade1234 · 18/06/2019 20:56

You've taken a good photo - that’s exactly what mine looks like when it happens.

LittleMissNaice · 18/06/2019 20:56

Spider nests probably

FMFL · 18/06/2019 21:33

LittleMiss that made me shudder. The rest of you, thanks Grin So glad it’s not a verruca!

I’m glad I read this- I have it, too, on one foot and had no idea what it was!

soberken · 22/06/2019 04:20

pompholyx eczema! I get the same

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 03/07/2019 20:43

That's the cluster form of pompholyx. I get the single, much bigger, eruptions. Up to 5 mm across, need to be popped ASAP or they'll rip half the skin off.
