Huge abscess on a bull

Watching The Yorkshire Vet from 7th May and Julian is lancing the biggest abscess on a bulls bum! Pus floods out.

That is grim! Imagine the smell < not jealousy

The weirdest thing - I cannot bring myself to watch animals having stuff lanced or drained, makes me heave. Human skin? Bring it on!

Oh my best mate told me about this - I'll have to look for the full one on YouTube. Apparently the bull was having trouble moving before but was well frisky afterwards..... Imagine having something like that removed from your bum!

@Omzlas I'm the same, happy to watch human blackheads, boils and cysts being squeezed and extracted but I'm 🤢 at anything involving animals.

Is it that human sporn is aspirational, in that you can imagine the satisfaction or relief of seeing to a human boil/blackhead/cyst? Animal sporn is just nasty.

I will own up to flicking the scab off a bite abscess on my (late) cat’s back many years ago because I wanted to see if it would drain (it did). 🤮 We had a trigger happy vet at the time who insisted on opening up every damned abscess surgically under GA at huge expense. I was unhappy about our cat having so much surgery (he was a scrapper). If I’d shaved him he’d have looked like Frankenstein’s monster with all the surgical scars. I took him to the vet next morning and the just gave him an antibiotics jab and sent him home with me.
