I have been very ill and weak for the past 3 days no other symptoms apart from temperature/sweating (especially at night)/shivering, pains in my back and legs and being so weak I got lightheaded and dizzy doing anything apart from sitting/laying down.
I'm still weak as I couldn't stomach much and last night I was still shivering and sweating on and off but not as bad as the last few days.
But now I woke up with a sore throat really bad when I swallow and just coughed this up.
Should I be worried ?

Not sure if this is the right topic! .

Well I’m no doc. And have no idea what that is. Tonsil stones maybe?
I’d maybe give them a ring again tell them you’ve coughed up something bloody and ask for an emergency appointment.

sadkoala · 01/03/2019 10:29

I would but I'm on my own today and can't get myself to the docs (not well enough to drive) and no buses unless I want to go the round way which would take nearly 2 hours on different buses with 3 yo and 1 yo in tow which is even worse.

Its not too hard like a tough jelly. Yuk

Ah that’s tough. Maybe ask MN if they can move this to AIBU for traffic or to healthboards? There might be some docs around or someone who can take a guess and say whether it’s worth an appointment ASAP or not. GL

Nasal polyp?

LadyOfTheCanyon · 01/03/2019 20:13

I've coughed up/ sneezed up stuff like that before, but then I had my adenoids removed when I was 8 so my sinuses produce some ridiculous looking shit. Always been harmless in my case: I think it's just mucus and other cells clogged together plus blood from inflamed veins from constant coughing and blowing.

Disclaimer: absolutely not a doctor.
