Here it is! Her feet have been covered in verrucas for a few months and the Bazuka-ing is finally paying off. One came off last week, another fell out into her swimming sock today and this evening she just pulled this one off. Victory! Two more to go...

You have made my day! They are massive, no wonder my vague attempts at getting rid of mine hasn't worked! Grin

NutBiscuit · 29/01/2019 19:48

Wow! How long has that taken? We are one month into Bazuka'ing DS's verucca and seeing no progress at all

IdaDown · 29/01/2019 19:49

Tell your DD “thank you” from me. Those holes are beautiful.

costacoffeecup · 29/01/2019 19:49

Yum

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 29/01/2019 19:51

Jesus! DS has the buggers for months and months. Every night - soak, file, paint...

They went away quickly after we stopped the sodding treatment.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 29/01/2019 20:23

Oh that is glorious! I've had three of the fuckers on my left foot for three years. No amount of bazuka-ing, freezing, filing, painting with nail varnish, gaffer taping, tea tree dabbing, rubbing with bananas has made a difference.

Then two weeks ago, they just disappeared! The only thing I've changed in my routine is that about two months ago I started taking spirulina supplements. No idea if that's what has made a difference or if my body finally just decided to fight the bloody things, I'm just glad they're gone!

HermioneWeasley · 29/01/2019 20:26

Oh that’s amazing! Thank you for sharing and quality pictures

ThomasRichard · 29/01/2019 21:38

@NutBiscuit she’s had them since about November and we’ve been using Bazuka for that time. They seemed to go away but then came back with a vengeance at the beginning of January. No idea why they’ve started falling off now! I’ve freeze-sprayed the remaining two so I can have a break from the filing for a couple of weeks.

I'm a podiatrist and I hate verrucas, some of them just hang on in there and resist everything.
Dry needling is good for really horrendous ones but we can't do that on children.

WhoKnewBeefStew · 29/01/2019 21:43

I gave up with the gell and used a home freezing method. After months of gelling, 2 weeks of freezing and they fell off.

Emc23 · 29/01/2019 21:45

The podiatrist I saw said they can clear spontaneously and can be linked to hormones. I stopped treatment and just used scissors to dig them out.

bookmum08 · 29/01/2019 21:49

My daughter had one that when it finally fell off it left a massive hole in her foot. I was oddly obsessed with it and found it facinating.

ThomasRichard · 30/01/2019 21:00

Another one and a half came off today. Just the rest of this one to come off! I freeze-sprayed it again now that it’s exposed but it stung so DD would only stay still for 20-ish seconds.

The craters are amazing.

OP posts:
Roystonv · 30/01/2019 21:04

How do the then get rid of the craters??

ThomasRichard · 30/01/2019 21:32

They grow out as the skin is replaced.

What freeze spray are you using?

I've one in my foot for years and have tried everything but nothing works. Maybe I'm not persistent enough.

Ezzie29 · 11/02/2019 15:06

This thread has made me realise I’ve got no idea what verrucas are! Have heard of them, mainly though the tv advert, but not really seen them before. Those pictures are making my feet feel funny.

Furrycushion · 11/02/2019 15:37

I had the most enormous one for years. One day it was suddenly gone. So weird.

They're basically ingrown warts.
