Last week DD had an accident at school resulting in her toenail being ripped upwards. Took to dr, steri stripped down and told to rest it. She went back to school on Monday, and came home with it very red and swollen. Gave her a salt water bath for it and rang dr for another appointment.
Saw dr yesterday and was put on anti biopics as it’s now infected. Came down this morning with this beauty!
It’s been releasing pus all day, but she won’t let me take any more photos.
Photo one is the day she did it
Photo 2 is Monday
Photo 3 is from this morning.

Salt bath soaks at least twice a day will help.
Poor thing.

I blame the parents. Clearly a failure in upbringing. You haven't trained her properly.

It looks rather sore. I hope it's clearing up okay, and she's not too uncomfortable.

She is having regular salt baths, at the same time as her anti biotics.
It is sore, especially if she’s standing on it she says, although after the pus came out this morning, she says it doesn’t feel like there’s so much pressure so that’s good.

Have you thought about trying a bread poultice overnight it works for infections on feet.

mrsnolasco · 14/11/2018 23:19

This is a good example there are lots of examples and it works and it is very kind to the wound infection.

littlebillie · 15/11/2018 06:43

I have used them on me and on my family when there has been a ongoing infection and it woks.

Take a picture of what comes out 🤢

mrsnolasco · 16/11/2018 15:36

Thanks so much for that unfortunately we didn’t need to do the bread poultice, as she knocked it again and the nail came off 🤢
