Mahoosive boil on thigh....tried hot compress magnesium sulphate paste everything and it's massive and hurts...no doctors appointments until next month and I'm on holiday Thursday what can I do?

Have you tried making a paste with dissolving aspirin? Or lash some sudocream on it?

Stick a sterile need in it and squeeze out the crap. I get these all the time as I suffer from hidradenitis suppurativia and I get boils and abcesses on a daily basis. After being on antibiotics or a long time and still getting them I stopped taking the antibiotics and just pop them! Always make sure your hands and the needle are clean. If you have a high temperature or the spot doesn't heal within 2 weeks go to the gp.

Where do I get a sterile needle?

Get a normal needle and run it under boiling hot water.

In my opinion I would not suggest popping it yourself with a needle as it may end up just a open hole/sore which could be prone to infection. Go to a walk in clinic if there is one nearby.

Bathing in water as hot as I can stand is my default! Still there and still painful my whole leg hurts now😓

I’d pop to the dr. It might be cellulitis.

Have you an out of hours, or ask for a nurse appt at the dr.

Do they have anything like nurse appointments at your GPs? They might be able to deal with this.
