If it bleeds loads and won’t stop, does that mean I’ve found it’s root? I had to stop digging because the blood was in the way. I have a scalpel and I love it Grin

It is weird I really want to see a picture? Blush

Branleuse · 11/07/2018 22:01

oooh maybe. exciting!!

A friend of mine cut off her own genital wart by freezing it with an icepop first then slicing it off. It never came back

Singlenotsingle · 11/07/2018 22:02

Mine didn't bleed. It just sort of peeled away like when you get the stone out of an avocado. It left a big hole though

Hellbentwellwent · 11/07/2018 22:04

You’re all bogging and I think I love you

captainprincess · 11/07/2018 22:06

I think we need a picture......

Lotsofdigestives · 11/07/2018 22:06

Mine didn’t bleed either. I dug it out with a scalpel and the big grey root lifted out. Maybe you’ve gone beyond?

TooManyClicks · 11/07/2018 22:07

Maybe I should stop slicing my foot up with a scalpel then.
I’ve had it frozen before by the Practice Nurse and nothing has happened.
I’m trying to dig it out as much as possible, then freeze it with home freezing stuff, then fill the crater with superglue. The superglue is to seal it in so it doesn’t spread, but I’m also hoping that one of the times I peel it off that the verruca will come out stuck to it. Even it it doesn’t work, it’s been fun trying. Grin

I can’t do a picture now because it’s covered in glue and a plaster. I’ll do a picture next time I dig.

I feel sick and excited at the same time!

I put bonjella on a small fanjo boil last year in order to painlessly lance it. Worked a treat.

thelmalouisewaitforme · 11/07/2018 22:08

Mine did that too - it was throbbing like anything all night! I had to tie a sock round it to keep enough pressure on it! I think it is the root. Mine didn't come back, anyway.

Joinourclub · 11/07/2018 22:09

Superglue?! Oh. My. God

Brigante9 · 11/07/2018 22:10

My hand wart came out like a wee plug. Beautiful little hole left in the finger.

Unescorted · 11/07/2018 22:11

I am going to keep using the gaffa tape method.

madcatladyforever · 11/07/2018 22:14

They don't have "roots" neither do corns. They are a viral infection and highly vascular so if you cut them about enough they will bleed copiously. This isn't a bad thing as the immune system will then act to get rid of them. They are highly contagious so keep them covered. Get as much hard skin off as possible with a scalpel or whatever, put on bazooka everyday and cover with tape. They should eventially go away.

ILoveMyDressingGown · 11/07/2018 22:14

Isn't apple cider vinegar meant to work? Not sure how though.

Brigante9 · 11/07/2018 22:14

Ooh, I found the picture!

Yoksha · 11/07/2018 22:16

I stuck my kilt pin through the whole thing. Closed it and yanked until it came out whole. It bled some. There was a hole, but I felt elated.

flumpybear · 11/07/2018 22:20

When I was about 16 I had loads that looked like black dots - I used to cut them off with nail cutters - got rid eventually or they died of old age!
Randomly I used to have a large lump on my spine which was waist band level - looking back I can't believe I just left it til it disappeared - no head just a huge lump - I'd be scared it was a tumour these days .... it was 3o years ago so assume it's not coming back HmmConfused I hope!

OneMoreForExtra · 11/07/2018 22:23

Pulled a big one out by gripping it with my teeth (was more supple then!) after literally years of pointless chiropractor visits and bazuka-ing. It bled so much I had to go out with a sanitary pad round my foot 😁😁😁

TroysMammy · 11/07/2018 22:27

I got rid of my verruca by using a craft knife, emery board and tea tree oil. Or it could have been peeing in the shower. But I noticed it disappeared after I recovered from chicken pox and never came back.

Stephisaur · 11/07/2018 22:28

Mine didn’t bleed, but I dug it out with my very short fingernails while watching Dante’s Peak when I was younger...

I would probably put the scalpel down and bandage it for now ;)

glitterbiscuits · 11/07/2018 22:31

This should be in Sporners Corner! We love stuff like this.

Alevel · 11/07/2018 22:33

I tried to pull a bit of fluff off my dd’s painful verucca. Yanked the whole thing out. It bled like mad but never came back.

Dhalandchips · 11/07/2018 22:33

Oh the blood! It was on my instep, I pulled out the 'root' (I think they look like tiny prawns) and oh my, it was spectacular!!

madmomma · 11/07/2018 22:34

Some beautiful anecdotes here!
