My first ever sporn post! Yay!

This is on my husband's upper inner thigh. It appeared two days ago and he's been using mag sulphate for 24 hours so the pics aren't from the very start (boo!)

This is currently what it looks like. I believe it's a grower and not a shower.

Believe me tis a thing of magnificent hope!

Anyone know what I can expect from it? It really is an internal beast!

I'm so pleased he consented to me adding pics. He's a keeper Grin

I find cotton wool balls soaking in boiling water stay hotter for longer than a flannel....

LoniceraJaponica · 04/10/2017 22:47

"No idea what's caused it. He's had a few recently in different areas."

I don't want to worry you but I think it would be an idea for him to get a fasting blood test for diabetes.

Neolara · 04/10/2017 22:51

Your dh is a fine fellow for indulging MN. My dh has an enormous cyst on his back -
the kind that Dr Pimple Popper deals with. He has banned me from showing you all its marvellous potential. He is a meanie.

washingmachinefastwash · 04/10/2017 22:53

There’s a good few hairs in that.

Hot bath, give it a squeeze, tweezers in a jar of boiling water to sterilise them and get squeezing.

washingmachinefastwash · 04/10/2017 22:55

Also watching this thread.

Make sure you have dressings to cover it once it’s popped.

Apply mag sulph to that thing to get a white head on it.

OhShitImMeredithGrey · 04/10/2017 23:31

Lonicera

You're the second person to say that actually and my husband has to make an appointment for something else so I've asked him to mention it then.

That said, he did have blood tests recently of I recall correctly and he doesn't show any other symptoms but as you say it's definitely worth mentioning. Thanks for your concern Smile

I do feel like a lucky lady. Well actually o think my nagging has paid off. He's always has good ingrown hairs which are a thing to worship. (He's a gorilla!) And only this time did he relent.

I think it's because we'd never have known about the mag sulphate if it wasn't for you weirdos GrinGrin so he feels like giving back!

Oh bloody hell. Please excuse my typos. I got carried away and clearly didn't proofread!

I'm really excited for this OP. Your DH is a hero Grin

LuluJakey1 · 05/10/2017 00:29

A needle is no good. You need my sharp scalpel and neet Dettol (stings a bit but does the job). It would be no bother for me to come round.

OhShitImMeredithGrey · 05/10/2017 00:35

Where are you Lulu?

That is beautiful. It's going to be epic.

xqwertyx · 05/10/2017 00:53

Ahh perfect.

Evilstepmum01 · 05/10/2017 01:47

Placemarking. No shame whatsoever.

I have to see that beauty pop! Grin

ladybird69 · 05/10/2017 02:04

There's a little ditty

Here comes the nurse with a red hot poultice
Slaps it on and takes no notice!

BaconAndBees · 05/10/2017 02:09

Oh my.

Just amazing. Keep him off work, and you too, you don't want it popping in his trousers.

BaconAndBees · 05/10/2017 02:11

I think you can see the ingrown hair in there. I'm going to start poking my phone screen with a needle in a minute!

MimsyBorogroves · 05/10/2017 02:13

I reckon a really big curly hair.

KickAssAngel · 05/10/2017 02:15

It looks painful. Can he actually walk?

Binghasalottoanswerfor · 05/10/2017 02:16

Hydradenitis Superativa

CakesRUs · 05/10/2017 02:21

My son is hairy and had something similar. Oooooh I'm hoping you let us in when you shout "thar she bloooows"

OhShitImMeredithGrey · 05/10/2017 02:49

Yep he can walk. He can feel it all the time but says the pain is a bit better today since using the mag.

I couldn't touch it yesterday it was so painful but today I can and it feels spongy and shiny.

There are a few darker areas that look like hairs but nothing popping through.

I'm tempted to look now whilst he's fast asleep Grin

But I'll wait til tomorrow once the DC are in school.

Watch this space!
