Ouchie! Can you wipe any off with a q-tip? I find that helps speed up healing.

Babybeesmama · 16/08/2017 21:25

I've not tried... I'm at gp tomo anyway for post natal check so I'll get her to look. I do normally get the odd tonsil stone.. which I poke out.. hope I've not encouraged infection by poking the stones out 😳

That's a fantastic picture Op (possibly not what you want to hear?) Looks like a shitfucktonne of tonsil stones.

WanderingTrolley1 · 17/08/2017 01:06

You need to try poke them out and smell.

Babybeesmama · 17/08/2017 05:34

The smell of them is so incredibly rank.. the first time I ever got one I gipped when I smelt it 😂🤢. Don't think I dare poke this any more.. it's getting worse by the hour 😢

Antibacterial mouthwash will help with the infection, advice from my dentist for any throat infection or ulcers.

Tonsil stones also taste rank if they touch your tongue, or maybe it's the smell that makes my tongue want to shrivel up and die 🤢

picklemepopcorn · 17/08/2017 06:46

Gargle with salt water several times a day, it reduces the swelling.
drink loads and loads. Not salt water, though!

SecretFreebirther · 17/08/2017 09:12

There are antibiotics fine for breastfeeding, don't let gp tell you otherwise!

Babybeesmama · 17/08/2017 11:27

Got some penicillin 👍🏻. I imagine I'll be left with some stones after this.. I'll report back with professional photographs 😂
