Ooohhh!!! Please may we also have a photo of the scraper?

redrobinblue · 06/08/2017 16:20

I NEED this scraper! Please share!

SandysMam · 06/08/2017 16:35

Yes which one?? Or did you just go straight for the kitchen grater??

IndianaMoleWoman · 06/08/2017 18:21

Ok, ok calm down, here is the scraper. Weirdly I bought it in M&S Foodhall about two years ago but a quick google tells me you can get them really cheaply on eBay.

I speak from experience when I say DO NOT BUT CHEAP ONES ON EBAY.

I bought one at a pharmacy and it brought me lots of foot filing pleasure. Lost it and replaced it with an eBay cheapy and it's shite!
Great pic OP, my heels give similar amounts of skin Grin

Id also like to offer a warning of being very very careful with these as they are SO sharp and its very easy to go too deep. I speak from experience. The pain was indescribable and the blood was every where. My partner came over all quesy when he saw it. BUT it is an amazing wee tool and so good when you manage to get a huge long bit scraped off in a oner!

Gotanewusernamenow · 06/08/2017 18:40

Dear lord!

I think I'd rather have the hard skin!!!! Shock

IndianaMoleWoman · 06/08/2017 18:50

Plump it makes my DH queasy without any blood! I have to do it surreptitiously because it turns his stomach even if he's in another room!

Oh I did myself some damage with one of those. I was a bit enthusiastic and the wounds took ages to heal (no pun intended!)

scrubthedeckandmakeitlookSHINY · 06/08/2017 20:09

Nice haul!!

I must also add a message of caution to anyone wanting to try one of these. I recently bought one off Amazon and happily set about carefully shaving my hard skin off. I accidentally went too deep on one bit and took a massive slice out of my heel.

It bled for HOURS. No exaggeration. And I can't put a plaster on it because it won't stick to my heel. It is so fucking painful. The pile of dead skin didn't even make up for it.

IndianaMoleWoman · 06/08/2017 20:15

Do I need to get MNHQ to delete this or at least put up a "don't try this at home" message? I don't want to be responsible for a nationwide foot-slicing epidemic.

Scrub i ended up bandaging mine with a Jcloth and gaffer tape as it just wouldnt stop bleeding 😂

TheCrowFromBelow · 06/08/2017 20:53

I do mine with my Venus razor Blush
Obviously I do not shave my legs with the same blade.

IndianaMoleWoman · 06/08/2017 20:54

Crow that is genius!

I have a set of scrapers that someone linked to me on here ages ago...I think they're supposed to be for eyebrows Hmmbut work on skin too. DS2 has a cluster of verrucas so I've just been shaving the crud off his foot after he'd had a bath. There was so much skin that I had to hoover afterwards 🙈. However I love tackling them!

StatueInTheSky · 06/08/2017 21:03

is it just a foot type of potato peeler?? Would one of those julienne type peelers work, do you think??

IndianaMoleWoman · 06/08/2017 21:15

It IS a potato peeler! Julienne of dead foot skin would go down so well on Masterchef, I bet.
