Heard a really loud noise in my ear and felt something 'fall' - here it is

Ooh I had that years ago, I was aboutb11, in bed and a pea sized ball of wax came out! It was vile and has left me with an ear cleaning habit.

Oh that's beautiful! I got a pea sized lump out of ds1's ear once. It was my best day ever.

Comedy - my hearing is the same. I think this is just the first time I've left my ears alone for a long enough time to let them do what comes naturally. The wax moved towards the outer ear, drying up as it went and then dropped out. (Made a really loud crackling sound as it dropped out)

Much as I love ear cleaning, I'll definitely be continuing to leave my ears to their own devices- who knows, next time it may be more impressive
