Advice needed, I have a tender, red, very sore swelling at the top of my inside leg/ bikini line. Its about an inch and a bit across with no discernable head . I am about to do hot bath, its fucking agony. I've felt " off" all day . Am I being ridiculous in thinking that a trip to the gp may be in order? I'm walking like John Wayne

I'm sure many people will be along soon to suggest various ways of encouraging the thing to pop, and don't let me stop you from taking their advice but the GP might be a sensible option.

With no head to encourage it to drain, I imagine it will be quite difficult to get it to burst. I'm sure others will be along to advise soon enough.

However, if you think the infection is spreading, draw around the red mark with a biro so you can keep an eye of it its getting worse.
