Is it worth getting life insurance if you have chronic health issues? Obviously these would be declared. But I'm worried about claims being rejected due to some tenuous link to my existing health conditions.

MargosKaftan · 22/02/2022 16:50

Would it be sensible to reassess regularly how much life insurance is needed? Just thinking my life insurance level was set on the assumption that DH would need to hire a full time nanny for a decade in order to continue to work in his then job, but now we are at the stage dh works shorter hours, and youngest dc is only 2 years away from secondary school, not sure we need the same level of pay out if I die. (What a cheery thought)

forcedfun · 22/02/2022 18:11

I heard an advert for life insurance cover the other day that included free private gp consultations with the cover... This sounded great in theory but are there downsides?

Also, I have some cover that tracks our mortgage, and was wondering about getting additional cover. Can you have more than one policy at once?

And a final question, if you have cover, how much can you relax and take comfort in it being paid out if the worst happened? In what type of circumstances /how frequently is it not paid out?

AudTheDeepMinded · 22/02/2022 20:32
