Sue Gatenby from Tropicana is here to answer any questions you may have about enjoying fruit juice and its nutritional benefits, for both you and your children. Sue has 25 years of industry experience and is here to share her top tips and advice.

The team at Tropicana say, "We've just launched a new campaign to talk about the health benefits a small glass of juice can bring. There’s been lots of confusion about juice, and we’re here to help clear the air and explain how 100% pure fruit juice can play an important role in a healthy and balanced diet."

Maybe you have a question about the nutritional benefits of juice, getting your 5 a day, how much you should drink, or anything else to do with juice? If so, ask away!.

Here's a little bit more about Sue:

What are the nutritional differences between "From Concentrate" and "Not from Concentrate"?

bskye7 · 17/03/2016 12:12

Are there any huge benefits to drinking 100% juice as opposed to juice from concentrate? I've always opted for the 100%, but what exactly is the difference? Shamrock Thanks!

Is it ok to make a veg mix smoothie - thinking of Waitrose kale green smoothie, and add juice to it? Is this ok for your teeth as long as you're not drinking too much? How much should I be drinking? I don't drink fruit juice now due to concerns abut the sugar and ruining the enamel on my teeth. Would love to know the actual scientific facts.

Ntinyn · 17/03/2016 12:34

I'm so confused by juice! As a rule we only drink water at home and buy other other drinks as a very rare treat. I've read that juicers just extract the sugar from fruit which isn't good for you as you also need the fibre. In that case, is there actually any nutritional benefit in drinking it?'

angiehoggett · 17/03/2016 16:40

When it comes to your five a day should you make juice only one of the portions due to the high sugar content?

spottypjs · 17/03/2016 18:47

Should I be limiting the amount I drink because of the sugar content? How much is okay to drink on a daily basis?

annarack99 · 17/03/2016 21:55

Silkyd83 · 17/03/2016 21:57

What are the health benefits of cranberry juice

rhinosuze · 17/03/2016 22:34

Is the fruit juice with stevia in better for my children or doesn't the sugar substitute really have much effect?

KittyKat88 · 17/03/2016 23:00

My DCs love their fresh apple juice every morning with their breakfast. I only give them about 1/3 of a cup. Is it a bad idea to allow them fruit juice daily? Plus, is it better to allow them to drink it at breakfast time (they brush their teeth straight after breakfast) or is another time of day better?

Lovewhereilive · 17/03/2016 23:03

Should the 5 a day be more about vegetables than fruit?

melmoo · 17/03/2016 23:12

Is there anything you can do to reduce the effect on teeth? (like have a cup of tea streight afterwards for example)

Cailin7 · 17/03/2016 23:30

Can you drink too much fruit juice, and is diluting pure juice with water better for the teeth?

ptak5566 · 18/03/2016 08:38

I believe that 250ml of fresh orange juice provides you with 1 of your 5 a day. It has to be fresh though and not from concentrate. Sometimes it is good to make your own juice at home as well.

SuzCG · 18/03/2016 09:33

I love a glass of fruit juice to start my day - always gave the children milk though which they were happy with. My DS asked to start having juice however when he got to about 7/8. Since then he has started to get some staining on his front teeth. Could drinking just a small glass of fruit juice a day really be causing this? He doesn't drink anything else except for water during the day - squash etc would be a real occasional treat. My younger DD, who stuck with milk has no problems with her teeth at all, so it does make me wonder...

phillie1 · 18/03/2016 09:45

is apple or orange juice better for you

Bechoole · 18/03/2016 10:57

Is 'bits in' juice better for you than 'no bits'?

Dianic · 18/03/2016 11:07

Just exactly what are the benefits of fruit juice over smoothies and are we better off "juicing" fresh products ourselves? Also, is concentrated juice worse for my teeth?
