You may have heard that Davina McCall is supporting Sky Ride this year - a national campaign between Sky and British Cycling encouraging thousands people of all ages and abilities to get on a bike and discover the benefits cycling can offer. In honour of this, we’re offering MNers a chance to post questions for Davina themed around cycling for the whole family.

Davina will also be attending Sky Ride Liverpool on 7 September, one of the many Sky Ride Big Bike events taking place across the UK. These events give thousands of people the chance to enjoy a fun day cycling a traffic-free route through their city or town with friends and family.
Sky has said “Cycling in the UK is more popular than ever with a million more Brits now cycling regularly as a result of Sky’s partnership with British Cycling and as excitement reached fever pitch this summer with the Tour de France visiting the UK, there has never been a better time to be inspired to get on a bike.”

My eldest wants a new bike for a combined birthday/Christmas gift. He's at that age where he is still growing lots, but I think it is time for him to get a good bike for secondary school. Are there any websites that help you choose, bearing in mind your budget?

I ran my first ever marathon this year and I thought I would love all the crowds but in reality I found them really emotionally challenging when I felt so exhausted and vulnerable.

What are your tips for getting out exercising when your children are very young? My daughter is 18 months and I still find it difficult to find the time to exercise combined with working full time.

I am truly a klutz and at university (many years ago) had my bike confiscated by other students in my college (I was deemed a danger to myself and others!). I feel I could handle an adult tricycle but would feel such a twit. Would Davina be seen dead on one? How would she overcome the embarrassment - I really don't want to have to resort to a full face balaclava!
