We have been asked by the team at McDonald’s to invite 20 MNers who have children aged 5-11 to attend a private event at McDonald’s St Paul’s, London. The event will take place on Thursday March 22nd, from 11:45 - 1:45 pm (you won’t need to bring your children along as this is during school time). During this event those in attendance will get the opportunity to find out about McDonalds’ new ‘Meals Under’ bundles - all of which are below either 400 or 600 calories.

Here’s what McDonald’s has to say: “We know it can be hard to keep track of what you, and your kids, are eating. That’s why we have launched our ‘Meals Under’ bundles. These easily show a range of meal options under 400 or 600 calories. The bundles are clearly displayed on our self-order screens and bring together a main menu item, a drink and a side for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They include many of our favourite menu items such as the Egg and Cheese McMuffin, McChicken Sandwich, Chicken McNuggets and our Big Flavour Wraps. All achieve amber and green on the Food Standard Agency traffic light system for fat, saturated fat, salt and sugar. It’s about serving up information in an easy way for customers so they can make informed choices.”

Everyone who applies needs to be able to travel to St Pauls for 11:45 am on 22nd March and willing to submit their feedback on the food bundles on Mumsnet, as well as posting about their experience on one other form of social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.). McDonald’s will pay for travel expenses of up to £30 and all attendees will be given a £30 cheque, to be delivered to their homes after the event, for attending. Everyone who offers feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky participant will win a £300 voucher of their choosing (from a list).

If you are interested in taking part, please sign up here.

Thanks

I have a 1 year old - would I be able to bring him with me?

Falconhoof1 · 06/03/2018 19:56

Oops sorry didn't read it properly. I can't travel so can you take my application off?

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 06/03/2018 20:03

Done! 😆

EmmaMumsnet · 07/03/2018 17:35

@Huffpot unfortunately due to regulations children under 5 can't be brought along to the event. McDonald's send their apologies for this.

@Falconhoof1 sorry you can't take part, we will remove your application.

Huffpot · 07/03/2018 17:38

@Emmamumsnet - no problem, thank you

LoudestRoar · 08/03/2018 09:37

Is it only parents who can apply for this? I can't, as I also have my one and a half year old, but ds's aunt spends a lot of time with dcs. Can she go in my place, if she was free? Thanks
