This thread is for the Mumsnetters who attended the exclusive MN SUBWAY® preview screening of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion on the 28th of September. We hope you all had a great time and enjoyed the film!

Synopsis: Star Wars Rebels continues the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people. The clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost is amongst a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, encounter colourful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.

Subway has said “SUBWAY® stores have joined the rebellion with six limited edition Star Wars Rebels bags and trading cards to collect with the purchase of any Kids’ Pak™. Fun packed morning with loads of fun activities for the children from making a giant foam subway, having a Star Wars painted "tattoo"

*What did your DCs love best about the day?_

My older son was in awe of being approached by a storm trooper in the lobby.
My younger son was in stitches at the slightly slapstick moments when the strormtroopers were outwitted time and time again.

What did you/your DCs think of the SUBWAY® Star Wars Rebels themed Kids' Pak™ that your DC received?

They were really taken by this and their eyes light up when they saw the cool star wars tote bags and couldn't wait to look inside and find all the goodies.

Did you know the Kids’ Pak™ gives your kids 2 of their 5 a day?

No, I didn't, but I did LOVE the way that the kids got to munch on delicious and healthy subs during the film and the healthy yo-yo sweet (and that the usual multi-coloured sweets were hidden away). Cinemas should all have a subway!

What was your overall experience of the Star Wars Rebels screening?

We absolutely loved the film. My children aged 5 and 8 were not total Star Wars fanatics before but they were mesmerised by the film and i think this has now definitely piqued their interest!

We all really enjoyed and were impressed how smoothly the whole event was run. There was a bunch of really excited children in a small place but somehow it worked: lots of activities before and after the screening to keep everyone amused from photos wit the stormtroopers to tattoos and a subway game.

If it came up in conversation, from what you know, would you recommend SUBWAY® stores to friends and family? Why?

We are already big fans of the brand. When we are out and about for the day, we will always opt for a subway. My younger one loves the kids packs and my older son aged 8 demolishes a 12 inch. The bread always smells fresh and its great for children to be able to create a bespoke healthy sandwich with such a wide choice of healthy options in there. I would recommend to family and friends who wanted a quick, healthy and fresh meal option at a reasonable price.

Interesting fun packed adventurous programme for the kids

The kids loved it! It was full of fun activities and my 6 year old came out wanting to be a Jedi

• What did your DCs love best about the day?
  

I was amazed to see my 2 year old sit there quietly watching the movie and got up and clapped when the screening finished! He found the storm stroopers very scary and refused to have a picture at the end! My 6 year old loved having a tattoo, to making a subway sandwich and posing for a picture which he has taken to school today to show his friends!

• What did you/your DCs think of the SUBWAY® Star Wars Rebels themed Kids' Pak™ that your DC received?
  

They loved the bag and couldn't wait to open it! My 2 year old loved his Bear snack! My 6 year old was hoping for a miniature little toy inside but quietly settled happily with the collectable cards.

Yes its lovely to know a brand concentrating on health!

• What was your overall experience of the Star Wars Rebels screening?
  

I loved the experience! So happy that I was able to take the kids out and enjoy our sunday afternoon! Having a picture to take home was a lovely touch to finish the day and treasure our experience!

Yes definitely. We are big fans of Subway anyway and the kids love making their own sandwiches! The portion sizes are good and there is so much to choose from!

The themed cards are still being passed about! Great to see the kids eating something slightly less junk food like than the usual cinema fare.

A great way to spend a Sunday morning with other star wars fans! The photo prints were a really great touch.

~ Unfortunately vegetarian DS3 was given a turkey sub which he had to change. He was then given a sub with some salad in which he described as "boring".

~ It was great. Really fun and the film was entertaining.

~ Yes I would recommend Subway to friends and family as the stores are always clean, the food is healthy and reasonably priced.

Although it was very different from the original Star Wars the characters and storyline were excellent and we all really enjoy it.

We all really enjoyed the day. My dh doesn't really like going to the cinema but he was suprised by how much he enjoyed the day. The dc loved it, ds thought the Subway meals were Epic!

• If it came up in conversation, from what you know, would you recommend SUBWAY® stores to friends and family? Why?
  

We do like Subway. There is one in our town now and it has been very popular with all. I like the choice of fillings and also that I can have a Salad there that is free foods with Slimming World. So dc are eating out, which they love, and I can still eat to plan. Winners all round!

My children loved meeting ' the badges' and making the huge subway sandwich.

I thought the pack was nice but the kids thought there would be a small figurine in there, but it had nice things to eat!

I feel that Subway is more a child friendly brand after what I saw in the packs, i.e. putting bear in the pack and would definitely recommend. It is so much better than other fast food chains!

It was a real treat to meet the storm troopers. DH met Darth Vader in 1983 so this was a dream come true for him!

Kids were really pleased, they collect the bear cards anyway so this was a double bonus!

Awesome! The film and the stormtroopers were best. And to get free photos, I was expecting to have to order them or pay....

Generally I quite like Subway, unfortunately if you were vegetarian as we are, you received a roll with just soggy lettuce, cucumber and tomato. Not even a whiff of cheese.....

It was really good, looking forward to the next episode. It's been all about 'baddies' since last weekend!

Great fun, my three year old was in awe of the storm troopers!

Those storm troopers, the balloons that came with us all around London.

I thought it was a happy medium between fast food and healthy food, they loved the little bags they came out with us the next day with toys in.

I always look carefully at what they eat so was pleased with this. Also surprised that capri sun isn't as sugary etc as it used to be.

• What was your overall experience of the Star Wars Rebels screening?
  

We had a great time, enjoyed the fun in the foyer before and the kids loved the cinema as well, they felt so special as we had won it too!

• If it came up in conversation, from what you know, would you recommend SUBWAY® stores to friends and family? Why?
  

Yes, I think it a healthier alternative to other fast food resturants and the Star wars thing definitely means it appeals to children (and adults!)
