When the mornings turn frosty, it’s all about finding those reliable pieces that keep you warm and comfortable while still looking put together. Whether it’s wool socks, the perfect layering top, or a coat you know will last for years, we want to hear about the items you reach for again and again!

This winter, UNIQLO’s HEATTECH layers and PUFFERTECH outerwear are designed to make cold-weather dressing that bit easier for your family.

What’s in or going to be in your winter wardrobe rotation? Post your favourite finds, styling tips, or must-have links below to help inspire us!

Everyone who comments by 28/10/25 will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £100 UNIQLO voucher. T&Cs apply.

When is the draw?

Algoquick · 05/11/2025 22:08

Uniqlo’s merino jumpers. I have three of them.

Are these itchy?

Not that I have noticed - cashmere is just such a lovely fabric to wear x

Got one of these to wear gilets with a Uniqlo voucher I was gifted. I also got some cotton trousers but these are not really winter wear. First time I had been in the store. LOVE the range of plain basics but it is too expensive for too many visits!

Amaura · 06/11/2025 21:38

Im obsessed with their pyjamas and shorts

GellerYeller · 09/11/2025 23:18

Thermals. Many, many thermals. I covet the heat tech socks.

TwistedKeys · 10/11/2025 07:13

DH has long covid and feels the cold. I’m going to see if a heat tech base layer will help.

Booboobagins · 10/11/2025 09:20

Over the knee boots are brill! Debenhams has a good range www.debenhams.com/categories/womens-shoes-boots-over-the-knee-boots?gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22728243558&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6SFKyf9jFSKd_RIc39MkxElRB8h5u97BUUjQj4q0GBzGUSHUnuN0LRoC7ogQAvD_BwE

I wear thermal/lined leggings under long skirts/dresses at work, the material of the dress/skirt doesn't matter with over the knee boots and noone can see they're OTK either.

At the weekend, OTK boots work with just thermal leggings and a longline top.

Coat wise I have a
Packaway gilet if it's not too cold https://emreco.com/products/longline-lightweight-quilted-gilet-black?_pos=1&_sid=4f2408cdb&_ss=r
Tog24 lined soft shell coat https://www.tog24.com/products/keld-womens-softshell-long-jacket-black?variant=32948684783706&pk_cid=1&pk_keyword=32948684783706&pk_medium=multifeeds&pk_campaign=Google&pk_source=Google&pk_content=ClothingAccessoriesClothingOuterwearCoatsJackets&utm_source=Google&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=16862171275&tw_kwdid=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=16857250737&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6Srxm7E8FO9JtEkCMvBduVGzQUMps8ZLRBWDpQlo_tjX6kbA77nI7BoCDloQAvD_BwE
Regatta padded longline coat (https://www.regatta.com/womens-eloria-quilted-jacket-navy-blue/)

If I'm wearing trousers, they'll be kick flares of some description with Chelsea boots. My shoes def go to the back of my closet in winter unless I'm going out out in which case I know I'm going to be cold so spend as little time outside as poss and preheat the car before I leave. We are so lucky to have access to technology improvements, years ago you couldn't move in winter coats!

Socks are a must for me, but I feel like ND sketchers/puma cushioned anklets are the best.

Gloves are a must, but hats aren't for me - ear warmers come out though if I'm dog walking on a cold day.

@MaddyMumsnet has the winner been announced 👫

The socks from Uniqlo are amazing - I buy everyone's from here. If your feet and warm and toasty everything feels okay, I think.

I have some uniqlo tops. And they are so flattering

somethingandnothing · 15/11/2025 23:08

I am obsessed with the HEATTECH Scoop Neck long sleeves in black (These ones) - I wear them almost every day from Autumn onwards!! They are really well fitting, last forever and can be worn under dresses, jumpers or on their own. I bought one when I first moved to the UK 14 years ago and have worn them ever since! (And this post has remind me I need some more for this winter!)

ohdannyboy · 16/11/2025 09:06

Anything filled with down is a must when we are out for hours at a time - it's the only coat I know will keep out the winter chills.
I have these for my DC's

wellingtonsandwaffles · 16/11/2025 09:51

I have an old Uniqlo coat which I live in in winter but which has been clawed by dogs and cats and generally abused through cycling and long walks over the last 5 years, so I would love to upgrade it to a new one - similar but more fitted! With less patched up holes! Their coats are fab https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E479209-000/00

frommyheadtomyfeet · 17/11/2025 07:54

My dressing gown! I can't survive a night without it. I also can't go without lots of fleecy tops

chickenpotnoodle · 17/11/2025 09:39

My think wool jumpers (over a uniqlo thermal vest ) or long sleeved top

needtolose70lb · 17/11/2025 15:07

I spend all of my weekends on the sidelines of one kind of pitch or another and the Uniqlo heattech range is absolutely integral to my wardrobe. What I love about it is that I can layer up without bulking up and stay toasty warm all day. I want to buy some new colours to wear for work, now!

WhereAreWeNow · 18/11/2025 07:21

I have a heat tech problem. I have a drawer overflowing with heat tech tops - vests, short sleeve, long sleeve, ballet neck, polo neck - and still I want more. I really feel the cold and I find these the best way of layering up and keeping warm without bulky jumpers. I'm coveting the C range with added cashmere for extra warmth.

HobNobAddict · 18/11/2025 11:05

warm pyjamas - they are a must for my cold bedroom and in the evenings
