I have just got my puffertech long coat - I have the dark brown - it's like going outdoors in armour from the cold.
I'd love this in another colour for this winter so fingers crossed

My feet are always cold so good socks are essential, love the design on these https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E480723-000/00?colorDisplayCode=01&sizeDisplayCode=024

I have a long cashmere dress, and layer this with scarfs and wraps, and wollen tights and on a really cold day thermal vests and long knickers.
I LOVE this dress - and at £129 it's a fabulous price.

Easy - a long coat, I don't want to get cold or wet this winter - I don't see the point in mid coats -nothing worse than cold wet legs in winter.
I have this - it's out of stock now - but would recommend as I wear jumpers and thermals underneath

My thermals ! they are a must for me - I hate going outdoors without them, I have a few sets - and sometimes double up.
these are a wardrobe staple https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E469844-000/00?colorDisplayCode=09&sizeDisplayCode=003

Beabeautiful · 28/10/2025 10:39

Layers and thermals - it's the only way I have found that I can keep warm - I WFH and try not to have the heating on too high - so have found that layers of cottons and wool really make a difference - and a hat - in my office looks a bit odd - but I do feel much warmer - take it off for teams calls obvs - just have helmet head 😅

DanBenandBud · 28/10/2025 11:17

Layers, wool jumpers, insulated boots, a woollen hat which covers my ears and a thick puffer coat - (there's not one thing - I need them all)
I think the fleece jacket would be good for under a coat and in the house as an extra layer.

Puffer coat (essential for watching my kids play football!)

KittyMacNitty · 28/10/2025 14:13

I get fleece jackets every year, for me, and both my teens. I buy myself several, one for walking the dog / one for sleeping and lounging in / one for going out. I don't think there are enough fleece jackets in my universe.

Britanniaa · 28/10/2025 14:23

Socks ! bed socks, socks with my slippers, double socks with my boots, nothing worse than cold feet. I can layer up with jumpers hats and scarfs, but as long as my feet are warm I am a happy gal, Quite like these leggings too

I'm loving the HEATTECH Extra Warm Cashmere Blend long sleeved t-shirts, both crew and turtleneck. They are so warm without being bulky so they fit underneath short sleeved summer dresses, so I can continue to wear them when the weather gets colder. They wash better than a lot of other thermals too and dry quickly.

I also have a weakness for HEATTECH socks, especially the different Fair Isle patterns and these "purple" (looks more like lilac to me) super snuggly ankle socks. I would love the same socks to be available in a wider range of more cheerful colours because grey socks would make my feet sad and I'm not a pastel pink kind of woman. https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E480729-000/00

I just wish they would offer everything in brighter colours, because not everyone looks good in muted shades.

They seem to love greys, sludgy shade of brown and green. I am happiest in jewel shades. The navy Extra Warm Cashmere Blend tshirt I'm wearing today is a lovely rich shade of navy blue, but I'd also appreciate cobalt or royal blue, and bright teal, turquoise, emerald, orange and yellow. They currently sell it in three shades of grey, 2 shades of brown, black, off white and either pastel or dark blue. https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E471601-000/00 I have one in "olive" green from last year, which is is a shade that can't quite decide if it is sludge brown or sludge green, which brought to mind my years of working at kindergarten, and seeing the identical shade in a lot of smelly nappies.

The Uniqlo heatech cashmere scoop neck tops are my top tip, they fit under all other tops and are super soft.

HollywentLightly · 28/10/2025 22:14

I love the cashmere cardigans

carconcerns · 29/10/2025 16:05

I've read the threads about the base layers on here and would love to be able to treat myself to some!

I wear the heattech tops as a base layer pretty much every day in winter. I find the crew necks are perfect under the merino crew jumpers, and the scoop necks are great under a shirt. www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E469740-000/00

YetAnotherAlias62 · 31/10/2025 17:41

This Puffertech jacket - I'm just deciding between the dark green and the purple!

A jumper made from wool, and layers below that, and thermal leggings for when I am out and about. This cashmere blend turtleneck is something I would add to my winter wardrobe this year

Are these itchy?

buckleycat1983 · 01/11/2025 22:02

I was gifted a Uniqlo fleece & it's soooo lovely & warm! It's a bit big though, so tends to be something I only wear at home. I'm thinking about investing in this to keep me toasty when venturing out the house!

I love the HEATTECH wear for layering. I’ll be adding to my long sleeve T-shirt collection to wear under the cosy merino wool jumpers
