Come rain or shine, you’re always on the sidelines. Cheering them on, washing the never-ending messy football kits, finding that one missing shin pad …

Whether your little one is just starting out or you’ve clocked up years of early Saturday mornings and muddy kit bags, we want to hear your football family story.

Has being part of a team helped your child grow in confidence, make friends, or find their passion?

We’re also keen to hear about your involvement with the club! Have you become a volunteer, coach, or made friends with the other football parents?

Whatever your proudest moment, from their first kick to their latest hat trick, we’d love you to share it below.

One lucky commenter will win a £200 voucher to spend on anything your sporty family needs!

Comment below by Friday 12th September for your chance to win!

My son hated the first football class I took him too I literally carried him around doing the drills needless to say we gave up. A year or so later we found somewhere he loved which has now led to him playing for a team making new friends. One thing I didn't realise was how much I would come to care for the other children in the team and our little supporters( players younger siblings).

My son never stops talking at home but with others he his quiet and shy well we recently went away with the football team for a weekend was brilliant for the boys to bond. He came away talking to everyone shouting instructions on the pitch and in the first game of the new season he was made captain!.

We have come along way from the little boy I ran around with at that first session and he now doesn't stop talking about Ronaldo!

My daughter has been playing football for a few years. The best thing we've ever done. So, so good for her to be part of a team, it has taught her so much and is amazing having the support of others. We are really lucky to be a part of a very supportive team and all the parents cheer on all of the girls.

We are just about to start another season and I will really miss it when this phase of our lives are over. We have both gained a great deal for her playing football with a team.

I have 3 boys, 2 play football and one has disabilities so is unable to play. I love watching the 3 of them outside with my eldest coaching his two brothers. I watch the other two play every week with my eldest joining to watch when it's possible.
I think my proudest moment would be when we went to one of my son's presentation evening where they all got trophies and then they had one last trophy to give... Top supporter the gave it to my eldest who was absolutely delighted to be involved and have something like his brother's. His brother was also so proud ❤️ the team is like a family the boys all get onz the parents and coaches all get on.. it's amazing ❤️

Ah, Sunday morning have a whole new meaning! My son took up football fairly late & has been a member of his local team for 3-4 years. The coaches are incredible (& THEY ARE VOLUNTEERING!!!!) & have really built the boys into the fabulous team that they are. They really look out for each other & it's been great as they have all made friends outside of their schools, so when they merged at Secondary - they had mates already from football which really helped them meet their friends & built new social groups.
The parents are great to - out their in all weathers with camping chairs & flasks of tea! Sadly, I know very little about football so can't help with running the line or any other skilled tasks - my time to shine comes when they need volunteers to run the tea stand!
SO grateful my son joined the team, & that it's such a great time - it really makes our weekends :)
