Play sleeping lions, i usually get up an hour before kids so i can have a tea in peace and enjoy the birds and silence on the rare occasion they dont hear me go down the stairs

Put a movie on and give them snacks - it's the only way I can get quiet from the chaos sometimes - bribery also works 😅

Get a craft session started with crayons and lots of paper - offer a prize for the best - and they are likely to keep trying for longer - and of course give first prize for colourfullness and a first prize for imagination so there are no loosers

I find a large cardboard box and some felt tips to decorate it with leaves me with a bit of peace for at least an hour.

As we had such a BAD summer - I found creating a den with snacks and a tablet with a movie loaded on gave me some peace whilst I cooked dinners

A tent in the garden - rain or shine - they love to play in the tent - eat in there, watch tablets in there - play games - and love feeling cosy in there when it rains
