"Sorry we are unable to provide you with a quote" for a family holiday to Florida next year.

As all three of us have pre-existing conditions, that really does not surprise me. But it shouldn't exclude me from this draw Smile

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/08/2018 21:30

I couldn't get a quote for a family of 4, 2 weeks in Costa Rica next July.
No pre-existing conditions, no reason given.
Shame, it is a real holiday and a dream holiday (last family holiday before kids fly the nest) so 20% discount may have been useful.

£67.10 for annual multi trip cover for me and my child, which I think is quite good. I’ve got a milestone birthday next year that I’m dreading so would love a holiday with all my family in the sun to take my mind off it!

Mummymummums · 26/08/2018 23:03

My quote was single trip at £33.41 or gold cover at £45.60 or platinum at £50.10.
This was for a family of 4 trip to Mexico. Chosen as my dream trip due to the beaches and my love of Mexican food. Ideally would be all inclusive and include a water park to keep the DC entertained.

buckley1983 · 26/08/2018 23:04

Our dream holiday would be to Canada - the quote Admiral gave was £119.41 or 1 week. I have no idea how that compares as we usually holiday in the UK - but it seems reasonable for comprehensive cover for all 3 of us.
It's somewhere we have always said we would love to go, so much natural beauty to enjoy!

£125.47 for two weeks to Iceland for a couple. I only put my main medical conditions in as it was such a faff. Half the medical questions I couldn't even answer properly due to the stupid drop down boxes being irrelevant.

The quote is a good one but I suspect I could find myself not covered due to not fully describing my medical history, therefore in reality I'd probably have more peace of mind with a specialist insurer.

£124 to for 3 weeks in Hawaii. The dream is a luxury villa with staff to cook and clean. A slide in the shallow pool for the children and games and toys to keep them amused. Comfortable loungers BBQ grill, bicycles and kayaks all included. Family friendly luxury which ain't never going to happen!

Will any british travel insurance be valid on March 30th 2019?

Jeffingandeffing · 28/08/2018 09:11

£54.96 for a trip to Cuba for me and OH. Decided to ditch the kids for my imaginary dream holiday!

jacqui5366 · 28/08/2018 11:03

I got £51.57 for a week in Vietnam (my bucket list holiday).

Carriecakes80 · 28/08/2018 11:47

£47.92 for four of us going to Belgium for five days. Not bad at all!
I really want to go to Belgium because my grandparents lived here, I never met them sadly, and I would love to go and see whereabouts they spent their lives.

My migraines are the only thing I worry about when we go away, they can come on so intensely and I suffer dreadfully with them, so we tend to holiday in the UK more, which is sad. Would love to travel more.

Thanks :-) x

daniel1996 · 28/08/2018 12:38

my travel insurance for a weekend trip to New York with my hubby (whilst the kids are at grandma and grandad's) is £36.00. Would be lovely if I could achieve this.

Teaspoon74 · 28/08/2018 14:00

My dream holiday is a whirlwind tour of half a dozen Carribbean islands with family (at a distance!) and top end luxury - drivers, chefs, the lot!

Sadly, i got “sorry we are unable to provide you with a quote”. ;(

MrsFrTedCrilly · 28/08/2018 18:04

£76.75 for my month alone in Barbados...
Like that’s ever going to happen Smile

PolkerrisBeach · 28/08/2018 18:17

£10.86 for a long weekend in New York with my daughter - bargain!

del2929 · 28/08/2018 22:53

ergh- no quote due to LO having CHD-

does anyone know any companies who do insure those with medical conditions?

GetKnitted · 28/08/2018 23:20

Just under £40 to insure the family for a trip to the homeland.

MiddleClassProblem · 29/08/2018 00:37

Family of 3 off for a month in the Philippines. I really want to visit Iwahig. It’s on my bucket list to go out on a small boat to see the fireflies. We can really immerse ourselves in the culture and obviously being the dream holiday, indulge ourselves daily!

Insurance from £115.33 to £172.99

Caillou · 29/08/2018 11:28

Unable to get a quote as the country we would travel to isn't listed, Pakistan, that s disappointing

RhubarbAndCustards · 29/08/2018 13:49

They weren’t able to provide a quote for our dream 3 week trip to the USA. And we are quite straightforward in our set up/no health concerns etc.

ShyPhilosopher · 29/08/2018 17:33

My dream holiday is my husband & I going to the Dominican Republic for our 20th wedding anniversary (in 2020). This is because I wanted to get married on a beach there, but my husband wanted to get married in the UK so his family could be there.

Admiral was unable to provide me with a quote, most probably due to my husband's health conditions.

joggingrunning · 29/08/2018 20:04

I got £35.20 for Florida, in America and my dream holiday ,to be honest , is several weeks where I don't have to worry about bills, cleaning the house and making the food. I just want a relaxing stay on a beach just pretty much doing nothing but reading a good book with some coconut juice.
